Learn To Grow was a project designed to share resources in the local community and promote healthy and local eating and growing.
Learn to Grow was dedicated to educating all levels of students about sustainable agriculture. Beyond the Mount Allison Farm, we created Little Sprouts, a program that taught elementary students about sustainable agriculture. We finished a curriculum package that is transferable to Let’s Talk Science. The curriculum taught students about sustainable agriculture by taking them through the process of growing beans, composting, and pollination.
Moreover, we implemented Pumpkin Patch Kids at Salem Elementary School, which gave students the opportunity to plant, grow, harvest, and sell pumpkins. The proceeds from the sale of pumpkins were reinvested in their Outdoor Education Program.
